Call of Duty: Mobile Facts and Tips; Everything You Need to Know
Call of Duty is a first-person shooter with a significant team-based aspect, in case you haven’t played video games in the last two decades. Call of Duty has had a lot of success in the past (games like Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops are classics), and now Activision has taken the formula to smartphones. In this article we are going to talk about Call of Duty: Mobile Facts and Tips.
Call of Duty: Mobile was released in the United States in October 2019. It is A Call of Duty game for mobile platforms like Android and iOS. It includes all of the traditional Call of Duty elements, such as fast-paced multiplayer, zombies, and Battle Royale.
Here’s what you need to know about Call of Duty: Mobile Facts and Tips, whether you’re a seasoned Call of Duty player or new to the series.
Three different game modes to play
Call of Duty: Mobile is a single game that you download to your smartphone, but it includes three distinct modes: Multiplayer, Zombies, and Battle Royale.
Multiplayer
This is the classic Call of Duty game that you are familiar with. This mode allows you to form 5v5 teams and compete in a variety of game modes. Frontline, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Domination, Free for All, and Practice vs. AI are some of the Core modes that are always available.
There’s also a selection of Featured game modes, which are available for a limited time only and are rotated regularly. Snipers Only, One Shot One Kill, Prop Hunt, and Gun Game are just a few of the highlights.
Zombies
Since 2008’s World at War, zombies have been a staple of the Call of Duty series, and it returns in CoD: Mobile. It is, however, not the same as the Zombies you might be familiar with.
A Survival mode is still available for you to take on endless waves of the undead, but if you want to spice things up a little, there’s also a new Raid mode where you unlock new areas as you advance through the game. Work your way up to a final boss battle that must be won.
Battle Royale
And there’s Battle Royale. The Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty: Mobile pits 100 players against each other and lasts about 15 minutes per match. You may play solo, in duos with a friend, or as part of a four-person squad. You can also choose to play in first-person or third-person mode, both of which gives the game a distinct feel.
This is a separate map from Blackout and Warzone, so don’t pretend to be an expert only because you’ve spent hours playing those other Call of Duty Battle Royale modes.
Touchscreen or controller?
If you want to take CoD to the next level, use your favorite Bluetooth controller to play the game.
Since, as good as the touchscreen controls are, there’s no replacing a physical controller for fast response times and agile movements, this makes Call of Duty: Mobile feel even more like traditional Call of Duty.
12 Maps Available
If you’ve ever played Call of Duty, you’ll be familiar with at least some of the maps available for CoD Mobile from Activision. Nuketown is one of the most popular one from Modern Warfare: Black Ops. It’s a teeny-tiny map with just a few long sight lines. All about this map is frantic and chaotic, which is just how I like it.
In reality, almost every map in Call of Duty: Mobile comes from previous CoD games. There are 12 to choose from right now, including:
- Raid
- Cage
- Summit
- Standoff
- Nuketown
- Killhouse
- Takeoff
- Firing Range
- Scrapyard
- Crash
- Crossfire
- Hijacked
Cage is the first original map to be released for Call of Duty: Mobile, and it features a small urban setting with plenty of opportunities for close-quarters combat and flanking options.
Customization is incredible
Customizing your character’s inventory has been a long-standing feature of the game and one of the most important Call of Duty: Mobile Facts and Tips. Call of Duty: Mobile puts a premium on customization.
